TOWER/ANTENNA RESCUE
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
- This class has been designed to meet the requests from departments for a simple solution to tower/antenna rescues.
- We will begin with a review of the 1926.500-503 OSHA standard for fall protection.
- In addition, the OSHA approved equipment used for these types of rescues, will be discussed in detail.
- NFPA 2500 Chapter 23 & NFPA 1006 Chapter 4
- We will review rope rescue equipment, anchoring, knots, mechanical advantage systems and patient packaging.
- We will work through multiple scenarios designed to test the limits of both the students’ knowledge and ability to deal with adverse situations.
- This class will be both physically and mentally demanding so please come prepared.
- 40 Hours
- Cost for Tennessee Fire Dept. & Rescue Squad Members $625.00 each.
- Cost $520.00 when paid and registered 60 days prior to class date
PRE-REQUISITES:
Must have passed Rope Rescue Technician within the past 3 years
CERTIFICATIONS:
· A Certificate of completion from, Mountain Rope Safety Courses
EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:
A specific list of items students must have, will be e-mailed or mailed to the student upon registration.
