ROPE RESCUE TECHNICIAN

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This class is for those personnel wishing to complete the N.F.P.A. Rope Rescue Technician level according to standards 2500 & 1006 Rope Rescue Technician as well as Rescue Squad personnel wishing to construct Highline Systems.
The class will “put to the test” all of the skills and knowledge that students have learned in previous courses in order to perform multiple rope rescue scenarios.
Students will build and operate several different types of Highlines and Pendulum techniques which all could be utilized for water rescue, confined space rescue, cave rescue, tower rescue, trench rescue, industrial rescue and mountain rescue, just to name a few.
Every day will be a new scenarios applying all your rope rescue skills. Please bring ATV or Mtn. Bicycle
This class can be taken in 5 days or Two Weekends.
40 hour class / MRSC Certification / Textbook & Prussik Included
Cost $675 each @ Signal Mtn. Site. (Signal Mtn. Site, lodging free as always)
Cost if paid and registered 60 days prior to class date $575.00
4% mark-up for credit card payment

PRE-REQUISITES:

Must have passed Rope Rescue Operations within the past 2 years

CERTIFICATIONS:

This class is approved by the Tennessee Commission on Fire Fighting Personnel Standards and Education (Specialized Training Credit towards Educational Incentive Pay)

· A Certificate of completion from, Mountain Rope Safety Courses

*TN. Firefighter 2 personnel are eligible to take the TN. fire Commission Technician written exam after passing the practical JPR's.
