RESCUE ASCENDING

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This is a class for those rescuers who need to climb or ascend a rope.
This class begins with an equipment familiarization and safety lecture.
Subsequent days are spent changing from rappel to ascend, vice versa, and developing ascending skills and rescuing your partner from a rope hang to a safe area.
Students must bring their own ascending gear and a safety belay will be used while working on rope.
CLASS PARTICIPANTS - MIN 4 MAX 6 * students are required to go through class in partners *
16 hours (2 Days)
Cost: $300.00 each (Lodging free as always @ Signal Mtn., TN. site)
4% mark-up for credit card payment

PRE-REQUISITES:

Only personnel who have taken Rescue Rappelling, Basic Tactical Rappelling or Rope Rescue Operations classes may attend. Personnel trained elsewhere may attend upon approval of the Instructor.

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:

Students must bring their own ascending system. Upon registration students will receive an email or letter addressing what students should bring to class.

CERTIFICATIONS:

A Certificate of completion from, Mountain Rope Safety Courses
