• This class follows the N.F.P.A. 1670 and 1006 Standards
  • This class brings all of the rescuers’ training from T.A.R.S. Swift Water II (operational) or other Swift Water Rescue programs (operational), and Rope Rescue Technician together in order to successfully complete the Swift Water Rescue Technician requirements
  • Students must demonstrate command capabilities and operational techniques learned from previous courses in order to control river right and river left sectors as well as water craft movement.
  • Each day will take place at a different site and locations will be dependent upon water tables
  • Students must be prepared for a great deal of physical activity while utilizing their Swift Water & Rope Rescue Skills in order to work as a team during the multiple, water rescue scenarios presented.
  • Students must have transportation.   

Pre-Requisites: Rope Rescue Technician and Swift Water Rescue Operations within the past 2 years(Swift Water Rescue II, for personnel who took the Tennessee Association of Rescue Squads' class).  

Equipment Required: A specific list of items will be emailed or mailed to the student upon registration.


·         A Certificate of completion from, Mountain Rope Safety Courses

·         A Certificate of completion from, the Tennessee Association of Rescue Squads, (TARS) Rescue College & C.E.U
