TOWER/ANTENNA RESCUE

  • This class has been designed to meet the requests from departments for a simple solution to tower/antenna rescues.

  • We will begin with a review of the 1926.500-503 OSHA standard for fall protection.

  • In addition, the OSHA approved equipment used for these types of rescues, will be discussed in detail. 

  • We will review rope rescue equipment, anchoring, knots, mechanical advantage systems and patient packaging.

  • We will work through multiple scenarios designed to test the limits of both the students’ knowledge and ability to deal with adverse situations.

  • This class will be both physically and mentally demanding so please come prepared.

Pre-Requisites: Rope Rescue Operations within the past 2 years 

Place: Livingston, TN.

Equipment Required: a specific list of items students must have, will be e-mailed or mailed to the student upon registration


Certification:

·         A Certificate of completion from, Mountain Rope Safety Courses

·         A Certificate of completion from, the Tennessee Association of Rescue Squads, (TARS) Rescue College & CEU

Class Hours: 4 Days (32hrs.) 8AM-5PM

Lodging: Secure a hotel room in Cookeville, TN.
